He knows the pulse of the audience and his films has ruled the B.O. Then why did the director in Rakesh Roshan took a back seat and the producer took control of his next adventure with his bankable star son after four years………? Well Rakesh clarifies the mystery about Anurag directing his most ambitious venture.

He says, “In 2006, Krrish was nominated for awards along with Rang De Basanti, Lage Raho Munnabhai and a film called Gangster. When I saw it, I was very impressed. I immediately called Anurag and told him he had made a great film. I told him if he had a story, I would like Hrithik to work with him. I told him that I had a story and, if he liked it, I would produce it. He heard it and told me to give him some time. After one month, he came back and said he had worked on the story, about 20 scenes, and how the story would go. I was very impressed... I am very happy that I gave the project to him.

Hmmmmm. But somebody might ask why Anurag and not Rakesh Mehra and Raju Hirani as their films where also nominated for the awards.

Simple, Raju Hirani is still in contract with Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rakesh Mehra only helms his own production. Well everybody can’t be as considering as Rakesh Roshan….. Right?
